Komori Corporation (Sumida-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Satoshi Mochida) announces that it has installed and commenced operation of a large-scale solar power generation system and air-cooled heat pump chillers for air-conditioning at its Tsukuba Plant (Tsukuba City, Ibaraki Prefecture). This initiative is based on Komori's long-term environmental vision, the "Komori Eco Vision," and aims to reduce environmental impact through the use of renewable energy and energy-saving measures.1. Background and Objectives To address global warming and achieve a sustainable society, Komori is promoting the use of renewable energy and energy-saving measures across its global group. Under this policy, the Tsukuba Plant has introduced power generation systems and air-conditioning heat source equipment as part of its efforts to reduce CO₂ emissions.2. Overview of Large-Scale Solar Power Generation System At the Tsukuba Plant, a large-scale solar power generation system with a capacity of 1,800 kW was introduced under an on-site PPA*1 model and has been in full operation since April 1, 2026. To commemorate this achievement, a ceremony was held at KGC, welcoming overseas participants and related parties. The KGC Printing College offers practical training programs designed to help customers achieve stable print quality and improved productivity in support of their actual production environments.
